Happy Saturday 1.) Give up the D1 or bust mentality. 2.) You can find a home faster by looking at D3, USCAA, NCCAA and NAIA than you ever will chasing D1 or D2. 3.) As said a few days ago, you're not "too good" for that 1-9 D3 football team or 5-20 USCAA hoops squad.

Why do I keep saying this stuff? I've grown tired over 20 years of broadcasting, scouting and covering HS sports. So many kids and parents are "Waiting for an offer"--That didn't come for 99.99% of them. So many blew off my offers to connect them to D3, NAIA, USCAA etc...

I look here in New Jersey. A talent rich state, full of college hoops prospects. The number of people I have spoken to who are so tunnel visioned, even for D3. NJAC, NESCAC, Landmark, Centennial and maybe 10 other schools. That's their desired landing spot. Look far&wide...

Hundreds of colleges just ripe for the picking, but they focus on maybe 30. You're not too good for the AMCC, PAC, UEC... Don't discount that college in OH, Western PA or rural Maine that contacted you. They may be your best opportunity. They may end up your ONLY opportunity.

Did you know Appalachian Bible College in Beckley, WV plays intercollegiate sports? You do now. If you love Jesus and have interest in the ministry as a calling...You may be a great fit as a student athlete at that school. There are plenty of homes to be had...
