Came back from KL, did my MPS last night and met my residents. Now on my way to Tokyo to attend the Nikkei Forum and meet other leaders. Hope to discuss challenges and opportunities ahead and chart the way forward in the midst of uncertainties.
Our agencies: LTA, HDB and Town Council have been working to improve the estate and bring more convenience to our residents. We can look forward to more projects to come.
Meetings in Zurich had been fruitful. Met several Singaporeans during a walk after lunch in Zurich. Flight to Paris was cancelled and now onboard TGV train, on my way to Paris for OECD and related meetings.
Happy to meet residents from Blks 420A-D at the Tea Break Makan Makan Party. They were happy and looked forward to more community activities in future. Although they are neighbours, many met each other for the first time at the event. Thanks to our RN volunteers.
Met up with Director-General of World Trade Organisation, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in Paris. Discussed challenges of the multilateral rules based system as well as the approach to WTO reform. We also discussed how members need to come together and discuss the path forward.
Met LTA and discussed how to improve connectivity for Punggol residents. We talked about new second cabin for the LRT, adequacy of bus services, MRT services, covered linkways and last mile connection. Also discussed plans for the new Integrated Transport Hub.
Visited residents of Blk422A. Took a bit longer than usual but managed to complete the whole block. Happy to meet many residents and hear their feedback. Will continue to work with community leaders and agencies to improve the estate.
Visited Punggol Digital District, a bustling precinct. Connected to SIT, served by the new Integrated Hub@and the MRT. Great place for family outing, conducing place for studies and work. Met many residents while I was there.
HDB is working with the contractor to enhance the finishing of the corridor and void deck flooring, following feedback from residents. Let’s work together to make Punggol a better home for all.
Visited our residents at Blk431B and enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them. Also received useful feedback to improve the estate. We will continue to work with grassroots leaders and agencies to make Punggol a better home.
Joined residents at the Northshore Trio Cluster Party. Happy to see many families turned up for the games and activities. A great opportunity for families to spend time together. We hope to roll out more such programmes for our residents.
Visited residents at Punggol Point Cove Blk 448A with our RN members. Glad that we were able to complete the whole block, although it was a very large block. Met many residents who gave useful feedback and which we will follow up.
Many residents have asked for conveniently located ATMs. Happy to announce a new one at One Punggol. We hope to bring more to our residents in time to come.
On my way to Jakarta to meet my counterparts from Malaysia and Indonesia to discuss cooperation among our three countries. Faced with greater uncertainty and volatility, it is important for us to deepen our partnership to strengthen the resilience of our economies.
