Back-to-back champ! Leanne Pompeani dominates the China Airlines Half Marathon with a 1:09:14 finish—1 min 12 sec clear of the field! Already a 3 x Southern Cross Uni 10km winner, she adds another to her resume. Caitlin Adams (1:10:26) & Madoka Nakano (1:10:40) take 2nd & 3rd.

Matthew Buckell powered across the line in a time of 29:13 taking the win in the Southern Cross University 10km Run. Matthew Clarke (29:30) and Adrian Potter (29:33) completed the podium.

Tasmania's Ruby Smee held off the competition in the Southern Cross University 10km Run in 33:04, holding off Brisbane's Sophie Malowiecki (33:38) and Novocastrian Jenny Blundell 33:57.

American Paralympian Tyler Byers took out the Wheelchair 10km in a time of 25:33 in his debut on the Gold Coast. Geoff Trappett (28:33) and Grant Cunningham (43:40) rounded out the podium. Byers will also line up for tomorrow's Wheelchair Marathon.

A regular on the racing circuit, Victorian Sharnie Digby took the win in the Wheelchair 10km in a time of 45:37. Digby will be competing in all 3 wheelchair events at the GCM this weekend.

Cameron Cox won the Australia Fair 2km Junior Dash in a fleet 6:09, with Brisbane brothers Dylan Reid (6:13) and Patrick Reid (6:14) taking second and third place.

2023 winner Victoria Huang returned to the top step of the podium with a win in the Australia Fair 2km Junior Dash in a time of 6:23, 2024 4km winner Elke Rayward (6:30) took second, with Elle Down (6:31) rounding out the podium.

Brisbane’s Antoine Sandoz powered to victory in today’s Wheelchair 5km, crossing in 19:41! 🏁 He was followed by Pete Rudland (20:21) and Grant Cunningham (20:34) in a strong showing. Well raced, legends! 💪 #GCM

Backing up her win in the Wheelchair 10km this morning, Sharnie Digby also took out the Wheelchair 5km event in 23:30. Digby lines up for a third race tomorrow in the Wheelchair Marathon. #GCM25

Harrison Martinenko broke his own course record for the Gold Coast Airport 5km with a blistering 14:30. Tony Chippendale's 14:36 was enough to hold Charlie Moore to third with 14:38. #GCM25

Isabella Valinoti's 1 minute PB saw her win the Gold Coast Airport 5km today in 16:15. Decorated Toowoomba runner, Brielle Erbacher took second in 16:21, with Kobi Walker taking third in 16:44. #GCM25

Paralympian Samuel Rizzo (1:31:12) stormed across the finish line today in the Wheelchair Marathon, more than 9 minutes ahead of his closest competitor, 2023 winner, Kota Hokinoue (1:40:35). Jake Lappin (2024 winner) took third in 1:46:09. #GCM25

Madison de Rozario made it a fourth win on the Gold Coast, winning in 1:51:28 today. Second place was Mikaela Dingley (2:19:49) and Sharnie Digby (3:22:41).

It was a Japanese 1, 2, 3 at the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon men's race today, with Yuki Takei crossing the line in a new course record of 2:07:33 (PB). Takei was closely followed by Aoi Ota running his debut marathon (2:08:31) and Ryoma Takeuchi (2:08:38 PB). #GCM25

Debutant Tegest Ymer stamped her mark on the marathon scene with a win today at the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon in a time of 2:29:27. Hot on her heels was 2011 Boston Marathon winner Caroline Kilel 2:29:44. Rounding out the podium was Ethiopian Alemtsehay Zerihun in 2:31:17 #GCM25

🏆 Australian Half Marathon Championships Results! History was made on the Gold Coast as Andy Buchanan (VIC) broke the long standing Australian allcomers half marathon record with 01:01:08, and Leanne Pompeani (ACT) stormed to victory in 01:09:14! @australianathletics

Oceania Marathon Championships Results! It was a trans-Tasman showdown on the Gold Coast as Christopher Dryden (NZL) claimed the men’s title in 2:17:33, while Simone McInnes (AUS) led the women home in 2:37:05! @oceaniaathletics

🏆 Queensland Marathon Championships Results Sunshine, speed, and state pride on the Gold Coast as Alex Harvey and Riine Ringi took top honours at the Queensland Marathon Championships. Queensland Athletics
