A very timely article, in light of the increasing prevalence of Alcoholic Hepatitis in the US. Thank you to our Liver Center physicians and researchers, who are focusing on the pathogenesis and treatment of this important liver disease

Under different circumstances, the #GI community would be gathered at Digestive Disease Week, hearing about great work from across the globe. Congratulations to all on work accepted for presentation and to our division members on 50+ acceptances. We are looking forward to gathering in 2021!

Today‘s #WorldHepatitisDay2020 theme is “Find the Missing Millions” as the key to eradicating HCV is caring for those who may not know they are even sick. Thankful for the global network of HCV specialists for their tireless work providing safe, effective treatment!

Like thousands of physicians, @JinendraSatMD came to the US to practice medicine and receive training on a J-1 visa. Now a proposed rule could make it more difficult to renew. Read CNN's discussion on the impact this could have with him and other doctors: cnn.it/31KROdC

The GI and Medical communities lost a great colleague and friend with the death of Hugo Rosen, a BIDMC resident who went on to become a renowned Hepatologist and Chair of Medicine at USC. I will miss his wit, friendship, and optimism. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
