In 2024, research made headlines in Australia because it showed that children in this country were the "most bullied among comparable English-speaking countries." This finding was based on a 16% prevalence of verbal bullying. However... theguardian.com/australia-news…

What the study didn't report on was the prevalence of verbal bullying of autistic students in Australia, which has been estimated at 52 - 66%. In addition, prevalence of physical bullying for Australian students was found to be 6%. For autistic students it is 32 - 58%.
