A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Louisiana and Mississippi until 12 AM CDT

An NWS Survey Team confirmed an EF1 tornado occurred near Bentley, LA on 5/26/2025. Estimated peak winds were 100 mph. Path length was 3.60 miles. Max. width was 280 yards. A separate area of straight-line wind damage was found south of Pollock, LA. Peak winds were 100 mph.

The Emergency Services Unit (ESU) is on the scene of a train derailment in Baton Rouge. There is no off-site impact or hazards to the public at this time. However, due to the location of the derailment a portion of I-110 near will need to be closed for an extended amount of time.
