On farm today updating a range of different machines including a Claas Lexion 7700, Axion 950, and a few different John Deeres. All were running Greenstar guidance and received new software and setup data. Claas machines using an Agra GPS bridge.

Got my Starlink Mini this week. It’s going to change my life. Currently sitting in an area where there is no phone coverage whatsoever. With Starlink I have > 150 Mbps download. Literally just took it out of the box, plugged it into an inverter I had, and placed it on the dash.

For those who saw my post about the urea application on 22nd of Jan, pic on left is the as applied map. Soil samples have now been taken so I've just swapped the rates on the Rx map around so customer can finish the paddock. 100kg for the sample sites and 0 for the rest

Have started getting pickers ready around Goondiwindi the last couple of days. Customers with dryland cotton nearly ready to go. A combination of 7760’s, CP690’s and CP770’s. Gen 4 displays with variety locator info syncing back to Ops Center to pick up planting data.

I’m in Victoria this week visiting customers. Got the crew together this morning to run through boundaries and guidance lines in Ops Centre. Also made sure staff had their own mobile access. Once we were happy with that I updated software on displays and installed new setup data

On farm near Jerilderie today getting a 7760 with 2630 and CP770 with 4600 display ready for picking. Cleared old data and updated software and setup information so they’re ready to go sometime in May.

Spent the day working on the SwarmFarm Robotics platform with a mutual customer. He's just had his new unit delivered so to get him running we imported driven boundaries from his Ops Centre account directly into Farm Manager and set up his operating areas, geofences, obstacles and roads.

Despite the rain there was a good roll up of attendees at the MacIntyre Valley Cotton Field Day yesterday at ā€˜Springfield’. We couldn’t get into the paddock but we heard from a great bunch of speakers. I enjoyed being part of the ā€˜data panel’ to discuss the how, what, and why.

A few more pickers set up west of Goondiwindi this morning. Just need the cotton and ground to dry out a bit. This field was ready to be picked and then had > 150mm on it.

On farm today getting tractors ready before winter crop planting ramps up. Oats going in near North Star. Fortunate to have plenty of moisture after recent rain.

Cotton picking now in full swing again. Planting information for trials sent to machine as a work plan from Ops Centre that automatically imports and populates the display when you enter the field so operator doesn’t have to worry about changing varieties to capture accurate data

On farm this morning fine tuning the guidance and section control on a recently installed John Deere G5 display in a Case 500 Quadtrac. Planting wheat with a new 24m NDF disc planter.

Picking still underway around Goondiwindi. This old 7760 doesn’t have an MTG installed so no connectivity with the cloud for wireless data transfer. It means a visit to the paddock to download the bale data onto USB so we can book bales in with the gin prior to delivery.

Not all the machines I work with have the latest technology. This 88 model 4850 has a 2630 display and 6000 receiver for steering straight and documenting little spray jobs.

Here's another example of the usefulness of good data. In crop Canola application not quite complete when sprayer broke down. Neighbour came in to finish the job so I created a boundary around the area left to spray and sent the new boundary to the 2nd machine. #nooverlap
