Today we were joined by Jenny Dawkins from Southwark Diocese as we launched Faith-filled Giving 2023, our opportunity to think about how we can be generous in time, skills, compassion and resources.

This is a big weekend for us, as not only is today our annual summer fair, but our new curate Ian Nott is ordained at Southwark Cathedral. Do come along today as we practice the gift of hospitality, do pray for Ian and his family, and do come along to meet him tomorrow!

Today we had 3 classes of 30 reception children from Stanley Park Infants school come to visit the church - they loved our cuddly sheep, which are great for talking about Jesus the Good Shepherd!

At our Twiglets toddler group, the team just love leading the children in a rendition of Father Abraham! Southwark Diocese

We love to welcome new members of the church community, and a special mention to our newest member Henry 2nd. May he give many years of happy service!

We finished our Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace series with Fran speaking about the generosity and grace of God. And we also had amazing cake. Southwark Diocese

90 year 2’s visited from Woodfield Primary - we talked about church, Christmas, and they asked fab qu’s: What is the difference between Santa & Jesus? What has Jesus got to do with Christmas? How did Jesus rise from the dead? Where is he? These are 6-7 yr olds! Southwark Diocese

We had a great time at our all-age communion service on Sunday, thinking about what God values, during which we played the Antiques Roadshow theme, threw tennis balls, and the children gathered round the table as we shared communion together. This is church. Southwark Diocese

We celebrated our harvest festival on Sunday, thank you to all who donated to suttoncommunityworks Foodbank and FoodShop, to the team from Sutton Christians Against Poverty (CAP) UK (Creating Hope) for sharing with us, and of course Stennings Bakery for the harvest loaf!
