Yes darling, she does have the range. This origami zipper tubes bridge takes advantage of geometry to have both a locked position and flat-foldability. Coupling the tubes together also gives a great global stiffness to an otherwise flimsy material. #Origami #paper #engineering

One part of origami engineering is working with a variety of manufacture techniques to make folding more efficient. Here, we are using lasers to get precision creas lines on several models at once

Get ready for spooky season with this BOO-tiful brain origami model. This is actually a waterbomb tessellation covering a 3D printed lining to make up a helmet! It is just one of the many exciting examples of past students’ final projects for the course.

Check out this fold and one-cut from our students homework assignment! The OE was cut out using only one motions of the scissors! ✂️✂️

Our students had to do origami analysis on their last homework assignment of the semester using the MERLIN software in Matlab. Learn more about the software here: b.gatech.edu/2XO1L7b
