The team on our Critical Care Unit have created a number of religious boxes for patients receiving end of life care. The boxes are filled with religious and spiritual items including prayer mats, anointment bowls and literature. #DyingMattersWeek

We have launched our Butterfly Volunteer service, a compassionate initiative designed to support patients who are nearing the end of their life.🦋 Their support could include reading to a patient or playing music, holding their hand or supporting families. #DyingMattersWeek

We are pleased to have seen a 73% reduction in the number of reported pressure ulcers in the last 12 months. This is through a rollout of hybrid mattresses that provide better pressure relief, the introduction of padded oxygen tubing and more robust training on pressure ulcers.

Our cardiac team have been recognised nationally for their efforts to improve care for patients with angina. Their work, published in the International Journal of Cardiology, shows how the team are looking to offer a multi-disciplinary led, holistic approach to care.
