Over 80 participants from AU Member States, RECs, & others are attending a training on the #AIPPIDA Scorecard in #Kenya, to boost #water investment tracking across #Africa. The training has been organised under the EU-funded Blue Africa initiative

Developed under the AIP, the AIP PIDA Water Investment Scorecard supports mutual accountability, transparency, and efficiency in tracking and reporting on water investments across PIDA-PAP 2 water projects (2021–2030).

#Kenya (host country) will continue supporting efforts under the Africa Water Investment Programme - AIP for building Africa’s #climate resilience. Kenya also hosted the first Africa Climate Summit & the AIP was included in the #Nairobi #Declaration on Climate Change & Call to Action.

The AIP-PIDA Water Investment Scorecard is aligned with the African Water and Sanitation Sector Monitoring and Reporting System (WASSMO) by AMCOW to track #Africa’s progress on implementing continental and global commitments on water and sanitation.

As part of the AIP, AUC is supporting Member States in developing climate-resilient water investment programmes. 11 Member States are preparing these programmes. The Scorecard will facilitate the process of developing the programmes by identifying bottlenecks for water investment
