The original cast of the Broadway Show "Come From Away" at Gander airport where they arrived for a performance to honour the residents of Gander & surrounding towns. The cast performed two benefit concerts of the entire Broadway play, on October 29, 2016.

Queen Elizabeth II visited the town in 1959, to officially open the new terminal at Gander airport. It was said, this gesture was her way thanking the airport for its service in WWII.

During WWII the great Glenn Miller described the RCAF Streamliners as "the best band in Europe…other than mineā€. Transavia Airlines B720 at Gander c.1975. Transavia Airline, owned by KLM Royal Dutch Airline, is a subsidiary airline used for low budget charter work. The B720, a mini B707, was a frequent visitor at Gander due to their short fuel range.

Seaboard Western DC4 at Gander c.1954. The company was the worlds 1st airline dedicated to cargo transportation. Founded on Sept 11, 1946, by Arthur & Ray Norden, both USAAF Transport Command pilots . The airline had an operations office at Gander up until the mid 1960's.

High Level Domestic sector at Gander ATC c.1976. Radar was mainly used for climbing/descending aircraft using scan converted radar information onto a CRT. A flashback to the startup of post war commercial transatlantic aviation showing the gift counter in the terminal at Gander Airport c 1949. The terminal was located in a renovated portion of WWII RAF hangar 22. The present day terminal was officially opened in 1959 by QEII.

TWA B707 at Gander c.1973. TWA was one of the first companies to use Gander airport in 1946 on a scheduled basis. TWA had an ops office at the airport with a full compliment of dispatchers & AMEs stationed in Gander to service their fleet.
