So thankful for Gordon Wenham's life and labors, and for his family. His passing is a reminder to labor for things that matter eternally, and for the sake of the glory of God who, with infinite love, sent His Son to give sinners the hope of life in a new heavens and earth.

Very sad to hear that the philosopher Alasdair Macintyre died today aged 96. We met a few times and his work is immeasurably important to my own development.

‘The West has stopped losing its religion’ This chart from a superb article in The Economist shows how the ‘nones’ are now plateauing and Christianity rebounding in the USA. economist.com/international/… But that’s far from the only place seeing a surprising uptick in Christianity.

So very odd that BBC Radio 4 Sunday led its programme with a story criticising a 3-month old robust survey about increased church attendance. It's as if some people are very rattled. PS the survey shows the C of E is *not* seeing the same rise as other denominations.
