Rainy day at Leith today. 8-4 defeat to Edinburgh East FC . Even game for about 60 minutes with us leading 4-3. But with a depleted squad to start with and two injuries in the first half, boys just ran out of steam toward the end. All the best to East in the next round.

Good game today at Peffermill. Ended in a 2-0 win for Pentland Athletic FC . 50/50 game but Pentland just took there chances and we didn’t. Valiant effort from the boys against a well organised side. All the best to Pentland in the next round. Back to league action next week.

Game today ended in a 6-3 defeat against Musselburgh United . Started off well but had a sloppy period before HT and you can’t get away with that against sides like this. Fairly competitive second half just too far behind by that point. All the best to Mussie for rest of the season.

Game today finished 4-4 against Boroughmuir AFC on the worst pitch in history. Tight game with some beautiful goals.

Eventful day at the Stade de Leith. 13-2 win for the Gallo against FC Edinburgh Athletic 2023 . Opposition had a couple boys not show up and only had 10 men. Did the best they could but our boys put in a clinical performance in the second half. Onto the next. #UTG

5-4 defeat this morning in the cup against Civil Service Strollers AFC . Went 3-0 down in the first half, boys struggle to adjust to the long grass pitch. Managed to pull it back to 3-3 before conceding a couple sloppy goals at the end. All the best to Civil in the next round.

6-0 win for Gallo today vs Albion athletic . Only played about 70 minutes before the game had to be stopped due to the ref going on a red card spree for the other team… Complete head loss. Gallo clear winners either way, controlled from start to finish. All the best to Albion

Kicked off our preseason today against Links Albion. 2-0 win. Great to get some minutes back in the boys legs. Big season ahead.

Back by popular demand the Twitter will be back up and running. Today we played at home against Roseburn Thistle. 5-3 win. Comfortable first half leading 2-0 at HT. Sloppy start to second half let them back in it 2-2. We did not panic and pulled away in the end. #UTG

Tough one to take today. Burnside in the league cup. 3-1 up with 25 minutes to play and allowed them back into it. End up loosing 9-8 on pens. Ref with some horrific decisions to let them back in but still not good enough from us. All the best to Burnside in the next round.

Really disappointing day today. 6-2 defeat away to Bathgate. Could not take our chances and Bathgate were clinical. Have to be much better than that today. All the best to Bathgate.

That’s Gallo done for another season. In true Gallo fashion a rollercoaster of a match at Leith. Finishing 7-6 to Gallo against Easthouses Utd, could have went either way. But with 5 minutes to play, a goal worthy of winning any game. 🔥 See yous again next year 🫡 #UTG
