Today's activities in the garden were watering all those thirsty plants, setting up a new bean frame, and planting basil in the polytunnel. We had two delicious salads. Loads of lovely leaf plants coming up, and another lovely visit from our friends from L'Arche Ireland and Northern Ireland

Today we had a Meitheal with Cork Queer Nature Collective who helped us so much in the garden, planting Pumpkins, weeding, banking potatoes, and turning our compost, we had a wonderful lunch together to celebrate Street Feast 2025

A wonderful morning with the children from South Lee ETNS Maria gave the children a talk on the Swifts. They were all excited to see one of their classmates Róisín painted on our mural with a swift, an emperor dragonfly and our beautiful native Irish wildflower the Foxglove.

Saturday mornings in the community garden are all about fresh air, good company, and getting our hands dirty. It’s a simple, fun way to connect and grow, plants and friendships alike. Green Spaces For Health Cork Healthy Cities Community Gardens Ireland
