If the government wants to raise money, it should tax gambling properly, recover millions lost to COVID fraud, and make sure the wealthiest pay their fair share.

'Pressure was put on my colleagues.' Labour's 💙Rachael Maskell MP, who voted against the welfare bill, says some MPs have been 'bullied' over the vote.

Yesterday, the government removed vital support from disabled people. Today, the government will criminalise protestors who want to stop genocide. I opposed the government's attack on the disabled - and I will oppose the draconian proscription of Palestine Action.

We applaud the power of disabled people, food banks and MPs, like Dr Marie Tidball, who have tirelessly used their voices to stand up for disabled people. 💚 Ahead of the final vote next week, we're encouraging MPs to ensure disabled people are protected from severe hardship.

What happened yesterday with the disability benefit cuts in the Universal Credit and PIP Bill was hard to follow. Here's a thread of where we're at now and what comes next 🧵 1/7

A plea to journalists: please focus less on the drama of the Labour Party and who is up and who is down. And focus more on the fact that the Bill still contains £2 BILLION of cuts to disability support due to the halving of the Universal Credit Health Element.

It's been a whirlwind week with the benefit reform plans So here's a lively episode as an antidote - we're talking cute disabled kids, hackathons and unexpected Paralympic dreams Take a moment to enjoy: The 'not the welfare bill' episode bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0l…

There is no need to cut a single penny in support for disabled people. Tax extreme wealth instead. This week in Parliament I presented my petition for Wealth Taxes, Not Disability Cuts backed by over 75,000 people. I'll keep fighting for this.

The below post is absolute nonsense and full of misinformation to spread hate against disabled people. Motability cars ARE NOT FREE and can cost £100s in non refundable up front costs. Also there is absolutely no way you would qualify for Motabiliy for the conditions stated as

Today, the government blocked the establishment of an independent, public inquiry into the UK’s complicity in genocide. This isn’t over. We will uncover the truth, and bring about justice for the Palestinian people. theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

MPs will this week vote on a £2 BILLION cut to disability benefits. 750,000 people will lose £3,000 a year. This includes people who can’t use their hands, need help to eat or drink and have debilitating incontinence. My Amendment would stop this cut. Ask your MP to back it.

This Wednesday, MPs will again vote on the disability benefits Bill. A huge £2 BILLION cut to disability support is still in the Bill. 750,000 low income sick and disabled people will lose £3,000 a year. My new article on why MPs must vote this down. labourlist.org/2025/07/news-l…

URGENT! MPs are voting on the 3rd reading of The Labour Party Ireland's cruel Welfare Bill tomorrow! Many disa bled people are ALREADY unable to afford essentials. Tell MPs to vote NO using the tool at: takingthepip.co.uk This is not about lack of money. It's about priorities. #WelfareBill
