The Lib Dems are the biggest third party in a century, and only a fraction lower in terms of seats than the Tories. Why are there two Conservative MPs on this show but no Lib Dem?

RIP Sly Stone (you made it much further than anyone expected). Probably my second favourite artist ever - don’t think anyone ever explored the highs and lows of music more thoroughly. youtu.be/7czrIW_v7gc?si…

Spent the evening responding to residents angry about the effect of the Council’s commercial rent hikes on some of our most loved local businesses. We’ve been campaigning to protect these businesses since Ray’s shut last April, but our arguments have fallen on deaf ears.

To put this into context, since 2016, 30 people have been killed in collisions involving cyclists. In that time over 17,000 have been killed in collisions involving drivers. I don't have a problem with the new law, but let's not think this will reduce deaths on our roads.

Motorists break the law to save time, cyclists break the law to save their life. Anyone who uses a bicycle for transportation understands this is true.

FINISHED! Old Chalk Way, aka Britain’s Oldest Highway, from Lyme Regis to Holme next the Sea (which is further from the sea than you’d think). 360 miles (plus diversions), 6 days, 50% unpaved, hot.

It is 39°C in Lisbon today. The same in Madrid. In Paris next week it will also be 39°C. Look at this picture. People are under trees, where it can be up to 12°C cooler. Given trees take decades to mature and many don’t survive, cities need to plant many more. And urgently.

Three things to remember about the Bayeux Tapestry: 1. It wasn't made in Bayeux (or France for that matter) 2. It isn't a tapestry 3. The infamous arrow was probably added much later But apart from that... very nice.
