We're celebrating the Creatures of the Nile exhibition by Garstang Museum today on the #OnlineArtExchange. We are quite drawn to this happy hippo showing these teeth! 'Pygmy Hippopotamus' by Linden Hamilton (b.1963) from London Zoo.

Exciting news! University of Liverpool’s Garstang Museum is partnering with National Museums Liverpool on a project to catalogue the vast Garstang archaeological collection, spread across 100+ museums worldwide. We are delighted that Ashely Cooke, our Lead Curator of Antiquities Ashley Cooke 𓀁 will be partnering with University of Liverpool Garstang Museum on this exciting project project to catalogue this significant archaeology collection.
We are grateful to Arts and Humanities Research Council for recognising the potential Garstang’s Distributed Collections offers as a key resource for heritage science, and we look forward to working with National Museums Liverpool to create a community of practice around the collection.
