The President of POLY-CHAR, Prof. Jean-Marc Saiter, from Groupe Nutriset and Univ. Rouen, gave a masterclass on “How to Develop a Research Program”.

Prof. Volker Abetz from the University of Hamburg, Germany gave a masterclass entitled “Thermodynamics of polymer solutions and blends”

Prof. Michael Hess, retired from the University of North Texas, USA gave a masterclass on Polymer Rheology

Prof. Alejandro Müller from POLYMAT, University of the Basque Country, Spain gave a masterclass entitled “Introduction to Polymer Crystallisation: Structure, Morphology and Kinetics”

Prof. Mehrdad Negahban of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA gave a masterclass entitled “Molecular Dynamics and the art of capturing polymer response”.

Prof. Sven Henning of the Fraunhofer Institute, Munich, Germany, gave a masterclass entitled “ Microscopic methods to study morphology and micromechanics of polymers”

Prof. Rameshwar Adhikari of the Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, gave a masterclass entitled “Structure-Morphology-Property Relationships in Polymers, Copolymers and Nanocomposites ”

Dr. Araceli Flores, conference Chair, opens Poly-Char 2024 in Madrid, accompanied by Jean-Marc Saiter, President of Poly-Char who describes the objectives of the Poly-Char community

The vice-President of the CSIC, José María Martell, described the institution and its objectives in society. The session was close by Araceli Flores.

Prof. Sven Henning presented the large number of prizes for young students in the congress.

Prof. Michael Silverstein from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Israel gave a keynote entitled "Emulsion-templating: Porous polymers and beyond"

Prof. Andrew K. Whittaker from University of Queensland, Australia gave a keynote entitled "Functional Polymers for Remediation of Environmental Pollution"

Prof. Thomas J. Farmer from Unilever pic, United Kingdom gave an invited talk entitled "Bio-based Furan Chemistry in Polymer Science"

Prof. Ana Beloqui Elizazu from University of the Basque Country - POLYMAT, Spain gave an invited talk entitled "Thin nanogel coatings enable the fabrication of robust hybrid bioelectrodes"

Prof. Holger Schönherr from University of Siegen, Germany gave a keynote entitled "Characterization of Polymeric Nanostructures by Time-Resolved Fluorescence Microscopy"
