So very sad to hear of Dawn’s passing. Her smile and gentle personality brightened the stormiest of days during our Arbutus Elementary science field studies. She helped us understand everything better! BCPS Outdoor Science BCPS Science Office

BCPS Science Office BCPS Outdoor Science Dawn was such a joy and loved to share her love of gardening with all. She will be so missed but what an impact she left.

Dawn was a true gem and such a beautiful human being! She was always one of the many highlights of every single EcoTrekkers trip I ever took with my 5th graders in the past. So sad to hear of her passing. 😢Eric Cromwell Tom Melito Gary Werner BCPS Outdoor Science Baltimore County Public Schools

Jennifer Connolly Eric Cromwell Tom Melito Gary Werner BCPS Outdoor Science Baltimore County Public Schools I 100% agree. She always exemplified what it means to be a teacher.

Thank you Mays Chapel ES for being the first school to host Starlab since March 2020! Check the schedule to see if we visit your school in 2021-2022! (Remember- it’s a 3 yr rotation to visit all BCPS ESs.) Eric Cromwell BCPS Science Office

Double sunset? Are we on Tatooine or something? The actual sunset (1st pic) is the sun setting in the west. 2nd pic shows the eastern sky. It looked like a dueling sunset. In between was normal sky. Anyone have any ideas what caused this? BCPS Science Office BCPS Outdoor Science Tom Tasselmyer

Ok BCPS Outdoor Science how many forms do you think we'd need to get approval for this as a habitat restoration project?

As our Baltimore County Public Schools grade 6 Ss survey schoolyards as part of Unit1, they should be on the lookout for sources of native berries. If none can be found, take action to restore native plants and remove invasives BCPS Science Office BCPS Outdoor Science BCPS Sustainability
