Statement of Asylum: Remix is made of the anonymous words spoken by asylum seekers that were formed into a poem. At a frightening time of crisis, this disruptive display aimed to communicate to asylum seekers that there is space for them to be heard. youtube.com/watch?v=zs9lGH…

We welcome the new government’s decision to scrap the Rwanda plan, but this should only be the first step of many to build a more compassionate asylum system. #CompassionNotCruelty (1/2)

With 50+ organisations and 85 individuals, we've written to Yvette Cooper to demand an immediate halt of the reopening of Haslar & Campsfield detention centres! Detention destroys lives—it's time for change. Support community alternatives that uphold dignity! 🧵 #ChooseFreedom

The reopening of Haslar and Campsfield detention centres is a step backwards for justice+human rights. Our key asks: 1⃣Reduce the detention estate 2⃣Implement the Brook House Inquiry recommendations 3⃣Uphold the values of Fairness and Humanity 4⃣Invest in community based alternatives

On the death of a man in detention yesterday we send heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him. Brook House is prison architecture and no-one should take their last breath there. We mourn that a young man died before he could be free.
