Today Teacher Tapp and SchoolDash publish an update to their teacher labour market report, showing showing job adverts down 27% on 18/19 and -36% on last year.

The PAC has sounded the alarm on teacher shortages, urging clearer action to meet recruitment and retention pledges—especially in core subjects and FE, with major challenges in deprived areas. Gatsby Ed echoes many of these priorities, underscoring the need for systemic reform.
