1/5Hi all, It has come to my attention that my elderly relatives were financially taken advantage of for years by both a local company and a State owned company by people they trusted and considered friends.

2/5My relatives did not wish to report these horrific and ongoing incidents for fear of reprisals and embarrassment. A casual conversation with my relatives raised our suspicions and thankfully we were able to interject and help them report the crimes.

3/5Not every Pensioner has a person to confide in which enables crimes like these to go undetected indefinitely. All our elderly should be protected from abuse.I would love to hear from you about incidents whereby elderly family/ friends have been scammed or financially abused.

4/5 I plan to gather information to find out how widespread this abuse is and to see what areas older people are most vulnerable in and what can be put in place to protect them more.
