Due to the current situation in North Kivu, DRC, there is an influx of refugees into neighboring countries including Burundi. Jessica Gorham, the Regional GBV Advisor for East and Southern Africa was in Burundi attending to the various needs of the women and girls there.

Last week, the Regional GBV Working Group for East and Southern Africa held a donor roundtable on GBV funding cuts. It was attended by a very wide range of donors, Coordinators and members from WLOs. Women and girls have a right to be safe from GBV.
