Caleb Hall (5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 7 K) improved to 4-1 as the Rapids beat Hornell 13-3 last night. Connor Stefan (2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K) closed out the game. Offensively, the Rapids had 15 hits. Diego Cancel Otero (3-5, 2 2B, 2 RBI) led the way. 7 different Rapids had multi-hits.

The Rapids head to Syracuse today for a huge NYCBL crossover DH. Genesee (16-7-1) takes on the Syracuse Salt Cats (17-9-1) as both teams currently sit in 1st place in their respective divisions. Game 1 (2 PM) and Game 2 (4 PM) will be live on the NYCBL Digital Network.

Genesee won Game 1 against the Syracuse Salt Cats 16-4, picking up 12 hits and 14 walks. Multi-hit games by Gage Wheaton, Diego Cancel Otero, Troy Chamberlin and Gio Lonero led the offense. Braden Williams (5 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 6 K) picked up the win improving to 3-0 this summer.

In Game 2 of yesterday's DH, the Rapids were limited to 4 hits in a 5-4 loss to the Syracuse Salt Cats. Lochlan Stoudt and Diego Cancel Otero each doubled, while Michael Frausto and Dimaggio Lonero picked up base hits. Genesee is off today before heading to Salamanca tomorrow.

Gage Wheaton homered and doubled leading the Rapids to a 5-3 win over Salamanca last night. Zachary Gibson contributed a multi-hit night (2-4, RBI) in the win. Blake Bowman (5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 6 K) got the win and lowered his ERA to 3.81, which is 6th best in the NYCBL.

Nathaniel Adkins threw a gem last night (8 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 3 K) as the Genesee Rapids defeated the Horseheads Hitmen by a score of 8-0. The Rapids' bats exploded in the last two innings scoring 7 runs. Braeden Dyck (2-4, 1 R, 1 RBI) and Gio Lonero (2-4, 2 RBI) paced the offense.

The Rapids picked up a 7-6 win over the Dansville Gliders last night. Cadence Varner (2-4, 2B, R, 2 RBI) and Braden Williams (2-5, 2B, 2 R) paced the offense. Carson Byrne (2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 4 K) and Connor Stefan (2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K) were solid in relief for Genesee.

Last night, Rapids C, Caden Walker, made his debut. Walker was signed on July 4th, right before rosters are frozen for the summer on July 5th. Walker is a Sophomore from Nassau, Bahamas, and plays for Union University. Last season, he hit .286 in 10 games. Welcome, Caden!
