On #WorldMentalHealthDay2022, we hope you were able to dedicate time to yours and your students' mental health. Our network and research empowers schools to improve wellbeing using scientifically robust pupil surveys and benchmarked reports to identify areas of focus.

Before work this morning, on #WorldMentalHealthDay, I tuned into a podcast while walking the dog, the episodes with author Susan Cain and Dr Michael Keane. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't found it yet, particularly if you have an tendency for introversion and anxiety.

Wow. I now have 20,000 followers on Facebook. The majority of these are families who want to connect and feel validated for the experiences when their children struggle or cannot attend school. I am just saddened there are so many of us.x

So true of my daughter's experience of school. So often cover teachers, and so often not qualified in the subject. Teachers are leaving in droves and I really feel for them and the students. The whole secondary education system needs a shake up. lnkd.in/e4fNyPvw

Our research in schools includes themes around connectedness and belonging in school. Connection is so important to #mentalhealth. We’re proud to be supporting Place2Be’s #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek. Find resources at: childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk

Pleased to share our first qualitative South West - School Health Research Network paper published in BMC. How does the school environment impact young people's experience of anxiety? We asked secondary students to talk about the good and bad parts of school life in relation to well-being, and translated it into an illustration. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek swshrn.blogs.bristol.ac.uk/what-we-do/new…

Have spent the week listening to young people talk about their school environment and the interactions they have there and how they impact on their mental health, and this illustration is brilliant and so on point! Thanks for sharing Emily Widnall

schoolsweek.co.uk/key-stage-2-sa… Well there's a surprise... if only somebody had said something about the reading test being too hard this year! 🙄

Q. How ensure developments now aren't out of date at launch? A. Don't do 2 year programs, do more small ones! Spot on, A. Meilke. #SITSconf
