Another year another amazing migfest Spurn Bird Observatory with Georgie W-S Oscar Puls Sam Glennie Cornelius Jones and Zak Spaull the weather was a bit dramatic at times though… bird highlight was the barred warbler which occasionally showed well. Great to see David Walsh again too

Sadly dipped the Sharp tailed Sandpiper today, but it was far from a wasted day as during the best part of 7 hours there, I had great views of many fantastic waders inc. Spotted Redshank, Ruff and Curlew Sand, plus a flyby Bittern at the end, a life tick for my Dad!

Early finish at college and straight off to York for the Grey Phalarope today-took some time to find but eventually showed very well, including some nice flight views as it got briefly disturbed by a BHG. ✅

Great 9 mile hike up Ingleborough today with Ashleigh Overall, great views until the top which was covered in cloud, but at the bottom it was the perfect end to the day to get my overdue lifer Dipper!

Well, it looks like that's 2023 over and done with. Yet another great year of birding - I stopped keeping track of my year list, but I've had many new lifers these past 12 months, and seen some properly corking birds - from Goshawks and Yank Warblers to Eagles and Night Herons.1/

I know the thread is very badly written and short this year, currently walking through NYC in the middle of the aft so otherwise occupied 😅

Birding in Central Park was amazing-all birds pictured were lifers, plus Ruby- crowned Kinglet, but the picture of that is so bad i shan't share it😆

Absolutely hellish train trip from my college to Crosby marine lake for the Black throated Diver, there and back I ended up going on 9 trains😭 Fortunately the bird itself was very easy, was literally the first bird I saw on the lake! Nice overdue ✅

Great day walking around Bempton and up to Thornwick yesterday, with lovely views of Short eared and Barn Owls, plus my second new bird of the year, Snow Bunting.

On 35 species so far for 2025, with this week bringing 2 lifers, Tawny Pinion and Puss Moth, plus only my second Eyed Hawkmoth and Golden Rod Pug, both NFG. #mothsmatter

Hi, can anyone on here please tell me what I need to do to complete this survey? It won’t let me click finish. Also what does geolocate list entries mean? As I’ve put a grid ref at the top i assume i don’t need to do one for every entry individually?
