„Now is also the time to conclude a ceasefire for Gaza. We are not losing sight of the bigger picture: We ask the critical question which goals Israel wants to achieve there and how a more dignified treatment of the people there can be achieved.”

With the country looking toward Iran and Gaza violent extremist settlers in the Westbank again commit crimes against Palestinians. Crimes also against the possibility of a future peaceful solution of the conflict. They should not get away with it.

First stop on Interior Minister Bundesministerium des Innern Dobrindt‘s visit to Israel: listening to family members of German hostages still held in Gaza. Hamas must release them all NOW - and a deal to that end is due NOW.

We will not tolerate any threats to Jewish life in Germany. The suspicion against a man in #Denmark of alleged espionage on behalf of #Iran must be thoroughly investigated. The Iranian Ambassador was summoned to the Federal Foreign Office today.

The future of battery recycling is built in Nir Am, a kibbutz near Gaza - and it is URT, German Mittelstand and BRI, an Israeli start-up joining forces to make it happen. It was a pleasure to witness the groundbreaking ceremony for their new plant.

Iran drawing exactly the wrong conclusions from the attacks on its nuclear weapons programme. They need to cooperate with the IAEA - International Atomic Energy Agency ⚛️ more and more honestly, not less.

Every Thursday in Netanya. A loyal crowd comes together for local boy Itay Chen and all the other hostages. I was honoured to speak: about the deal that must come to free them all, to end the war and to relieve the suffering of the Gazan population.

I support my colleague from Ramallah: Extremist settler violence is not only reprehensible when they target IDF reservists. They harass and attack Palestinian communities regularly and this needs to be stopped.

We are proud to support The Civil Commission in their work to build an archive documenting the atrocities committed against women, children and families by Hamas on the 7th of October. These facts are essential for the judicial process as well as for the world to remember. Cochav Elkayam-Levy

„A sign of trust into a new Germany which has learned from its past“ - giving (back) German citizenship to Holocaust survivors like Zeev Davidovitz and their families is always a beautiful and moving act. Welcome, fellow Germans!

This can be an important step forward to alleviate the disastrous humanitarian situation in Gaza. Good that Europeans kept calling for improvement, good that Israel now agrees to act.

We condemn the recent arson attack by violent settlers on the ancient church of #Taybeh in the #Westbank. The recurring attacks threaten lives & livelihoods. Palestinians must be protected from settler violence, incidents must be investigated & those responsible held accountable.

Chancellor Merz: I have been criticising for many weeks what the Israeli army does in Gaza and I told the PM so. The Palestinians are entitled to their place to live. I hope that Europe and the US can achieve a solution which will then become a 2-state-solution.

I hope it will be investigated who fired these shots. But everybody with a sense of decency knows: if these are the conditions under which desperate people queue for their food rations, then the system is not right. The GHF and those behind it have got to protect the Gazans.
