On 5 June, Dr Susan Leahy hosted the 'Thesis in Three' competition for PhD members of the All-Ireland Network on Sexual Violence Research (AINSVR). Est. by Dr Leahy & Dr Eithne Dowds, AINSVR brings together those working in the area of sexual violence in Ireland & Northern Ireland.

Very many congratulations Prof Laura Cahillane UL School of Law on your well deserved award! Enjoy the celebrations!

Very insightful analysis by Dr Susan Leahy Centre for Crime, Justice & Victim Studies (CCJVS) on the importance of maintaining a victim-centred approach to criminal justice practicalities in full compliance with the victims of crime legislative framework.

I am deeply concerned about the future of the criminal justice system if criminal practice is not attractive to new entrants across the country. And for those who do enter criminal practice, why stay if fees are so out of line with the work required? #FairisFair The Bar of Ireland

Our colleague Prof Prof Laura Cahillane was cited in a Supreme Court judgment this morning on the issue of Art 41.2 & social welfare payments for carers. The judgment noted the difficulties with the text of the provision, previously analysed in her research on this issue.
