Children from Dandenong PS worked with the Boon Wurrung scar tree this week as part of #Treeschoolmuma mumamonash. Guided by Monash pre-service teachers children found weathered patterns, rhythms and scar shapes in the tree. Here is their beautiful mural in progress.

WE ARE WELL is an intergenerational partnership between Monash Education, local First Peoples, McClelland Gallery, U3A, Rotary, Primary school teachers and their students. Movement & art help us explore our health and wellbeing superpowers and how to nurture them.

Day one of WeAreWell was a huge success! Monash University students, educators, older adults and the amazing artist VERA MÖLLER came together to thing about and ‘do’ wellbeing! Special attention was paid to the ocean, and how it can support wellbeing in a range of ways 🌊

The WeAreWell team are having a ‘Janus’ moment - looking back to the magic of Monday (see image), and ahead to this afternoons session with local primary school students. We wonder what wellbeing means to them? An exciting session with First Nations artists is incoming!
