I remember being scared when I was stared at, for about 5 years, before ‘coming out’ about having #Parkinson’s. Now? Some days I’m terrified, some days I can leave PD out of my life. But not every day 😏

Now this is the real, legendary Rory, who hails from Donegal and is from Cork. The legend of the man tells us that he turned down what would become Mick Taylor’s Rolling Stones’ gig, preferring to stay close to the fans and out of the limelight 😏 🎸 🎤

God it’s hard to be a Hammer ⚽️ 😓I mean, at least when living with #Parkinsons Disease you pretty much know what kind of average day is gonna come your way. With West Ham United however every game is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma. And it’s just sad 😔 Parkinson's UK Parkinson's Europe 🌷

the most obvious and ridiculous headline this year: imagine, there’s been an increase in pesticide levels in water! Sometimes I think this can’t be happening. Alas, the nightmare continues 🙁Bas Bloem Increase in presence of pesticides in water supplies rte.ie/news/environme…

Thanks a million for ‘publishing’ the ‘Parkinson’s Passport’. I found it useful and also quite reassuring. On pretty much every flight, showing the ‘passport’ just once to the flight attendant at the checkin desk, was sufficient for the service/care to kick-in. Thank you 😊

I'm really honoured to have been asked to speak at the 'Patient Solutions' conference in November. I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences as an in-patient and the challenges this presents while also living with a long-term #neurological condition Neurological Alliance of Ireland Parkinson's Europe 🌷

It's hard to think of anything more extraordinary: I feel better today than I did when I was first diagnosed...and this is a deteriorating #Neurological condition! I am not alone in #Parkinson's Land and I'm not giving up. Well, not today... Irish Medical Times Aideen Sullivan Parkinson's Europe 🌷 😄

A quote from Horse Racing Ireland in March 2025: ‘Separately, a €200k increase will occur in investment for equine welfare activities and welfare-related grant funding, taking it to €3.7million.’ That’s €3.7million more than the government allocate to #Parkinsonsdisease Department of Health 🥵

Yes, it’s great to have the attention of senior decision makers of any Government department. However, did we receive any commitment from Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD that #Parkinson’s disease would receive desperately needed resources? I’m not holding my breath Irish Medical Times Parkinson's Europe 🌷

I don’t begrudge Horse Racing Ireland the funding the Government of Ireland allocate to this €2Bn industry annually. I simply ask WHEN THE HELL IS THE FUNDING FOR #Parkinsons GOING TO BE ADEQUATELY ALLOCATED? The Dublin Neurological Institute Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD WE GET NOTHING FROM THE GOVERNMENT - ANNUALLY Parkinson's Europe 🌷
