Today, I met with H.E. MINAMI Kentaro, Ambassador of Ambassade du Japon au Cameroun 在カメルーン日本国大使館 to acknowledge reception of Ambassade du Japon au Cameroun 在カメルーン日本国大使館 grant USD 1.27 million to support 17,000+ people in Cameroon through the 2-years. World Food Programme is grateful for this remarquable support to #SavingLives of those in need in Cameroon



I was honoured to meet with United Nations🇨🇲 RC Issa Sanogo & minadercm's SG Prof. Mbong Grace to discuss strengthening 🇨🇲's #foodsystems, the 2025 national priorities, & United Nations support for aligning food and climate agendas. I appreciate the Gov🇨🇲's efforts towards #foodsecurity nationwide


Great first meeting with the National Convener, facilitated by WFP Cameroon to better understand the priority status of #foodsystems in the #SND30. Congrats to Cameroon for being prioritized to launch the #ConvergenceInitiative in 2025! UN_Cameroon will support this endeavor.

#Cameroon 🇨🇲 Thanks to the #PULCCA project funded by the Gov't of 🇨🇲 and World Bank, World Food Programme empowered communities in Gab Gabdo, Adamawa region, by providing fish farming skills 🐟 in November 2024. Six months later, their harvests allow them to feed their families and sell fish


The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and the Family and WFP Cameroon have embarked on enhancing gender equality, women's empowerment and improving food and nutrition security in #Cameroon following an MOU signed in #Yaounde on 27th June, 2025.


#Cameroun 🇨🇲 Through the Emergency Project to Combat the Food Crisis in Cameroon (#PULCCA) supported by the Government of Cameroon and World Bank, World Food Programme has trained over 5,000 households in small-scale farming in the Far North region, enabling families to grow their own food and


#SaoTomeetPrincipe 🇸🇹 In Cantagalo 🇸🇹, World Food Programme supports smallholder farmers to grow and supply local foods—like plantains, cassava, and vegetables—for #schoolmeals. Thanks to this effort, 50,000 children receive nutritious meals that help them stay healthy and learn better.


#Cameroon 🇨🇲 From January to June 2025, World Food Programme supported over 91, 000 malnourished children in the Far North by providing 583,476 metric tons of #lifesaving nutritious food. World Food Programme urgently requires $13 million to continue providing nutrition assistance through December 2025.


#Cameroon 🇨🇲 In 2024, World Food Programme provided emergency food and nutrition assistance to 130,000 food-insecure individuals, made possible thanks to $4,7 million in flexible funding. This funding enabled WFP to respond swiftly to escalating global needs and save lives. 🔗 Read more: WFP
