We have been decorating our playrooms with lovely traditional Christmas decorations, lots of sensory fun and they smell amazing.

A challenge was set to design and make a coat for the Gingerbread Man to keep him dry. We talked about which materials are waterproof. “The water apron keeps us dry.” (M) The children then tested the coats they made.

We have learning about birds. We listened to information from The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds' Big Schools' Birdwatch website. When we squeezed the toy birds and they sang their bird song and used binoculars to count birds in the nursery garden. RSPB Scotland
