It’s amazing the cost differential around the world. Just took a Yandex (ride hailing)from the Tashkent Airport to my hotel. About 20 minutes. The ride was only $1.32 How much would it be in your city?

Tashkent has a great Soviet legacy metro. Many stations are unique works of art including Metro Kosmonavti which highlights Soviet space flight.

A great event in Laos coming up with Mekong Tourism. I was at their event in Cambodia last year. Great organization to connect with SEA tourism professionals. travelmassive.com/events/mekong-…

I did a very cool trip to the solar furnace of #Uzbekistan was built in 1981, and is located 45 kilometers away from Tashkent. The furnace is the largest in Asia. It uses a curved mirror, which can reach temperatures of up to 3,000 degrees C and is used for research.

A physically demanding cottage industry in Malawi. Walking for hours to find wood, cutting and gathering, and then walking hours more to get back with 20 kg on your head.
