A recent Science Advances paper by the Glockshuber group (IMBB) describes the mechanism of copper-cofactor assembly in an essential enzyme for cellular respiration. biol.ethz.ch/en/news-and-ev…

Today I came back from the amazing BSM #Phd retreat (ETH Zurich UZH Science PSI Paul Scherrer Institut). It was nice to hear about the research done in the neighborhood. Today I also said goodbye to my talented Master's student Enzo. Good luck with your Master's defense!

It's such a nice feeling to see the very final version of your paper! If you are a bit curious about #thioredoxin #Evolution check it out 😊 Thanks Journal of Biological Chemistry m.jbc.org/content/294/38…

I had a proper structural biology week! First #CryoEM session on #Titan ETH Zurich with @jess_stanisich and yesterday #xray crystallography at the #SwissLightSource PSI Paul Scherrer Institut with SilviaNapolitano. I really like when project focuses on the topic not the method #lowresrealm

This week I am at the ETH to discuss exciting projects for the next future! Here I am working together with PhD student Silvia Napolitano Glockshuber group D-BIOL @ ETH Zurich.

Have you ever wonder how you are protected from urinary tract infection? If so, check our latest paper in Science Magazine about the role and structure of Uromodulin! Congrats to @jess_stanisich, @GregorWeiss1, and other authors! For more check: tiny.cc/a0trrz #cryoET

Check out the amazing work that our lab Glockshuber group made in collaboration with Pilhofer Lab ! Congratulations to @jess_stanisich , @GregorWeiss1 , @MaxMSauer and the other people involved for this very interesting piece of science! #uromodulin #UTI #Ecoli

Did you ever wonder what the role of palindromic beta-strands in beta-sheet proteins with alternative folding possibilities is? Check out our latest paper on the folding of variants of the main type 1 pilus subunit FimA, which just appeared in Journal of Biological Chemistry! shorturl.at/euzBM

Check out our new eLife - the journal paper on the #cryoEM structure of the UMOD filament core! The quaternary structure suggests that subunit assembly may be synchronized with proteolytic UMOD release from GPI-anchored precursors. Many thanks to everybody involved! elifesciences.org/articles/60265

Very happy to share our recent paper on stochastic chain termination in bacterial pilus assembly in Nature Communications: rdcu.be/drWIi Many Thanks to everyone involved!

Looking forward to Rudi Glockshuber's Farewell Symposium! Great science and a chance to get together, say goodbye and give thanks! 📅 Friday, November 22nd 📍 ETH Zurich, Hönggerberg Campus We look forward to seeing you there! Glockshuber group ETH Zurich
