As part of #Diplomeds efforts to improve inter-state ties in the #Mediterranean, a focus has been put this year on #Morocco-#Algeria relations. Grateful to European Policy Centre for inviting me to join Adnan Tabatabai (CARPO), Héloïse Fayet Nimrod Goren for a conversation on Iran-Israel. Also discussed the EU’s potential role in de-escalating tensions, safeguarding nuclear diplomacy, and preventing wider conflict.

Exchanges between experts from different regional countries are crucial for gaining nuanced understandings of major developments, as they unfold. Glad to have had the chance to be part of this IstanPol Institute event, and to speak - once again - to a (mostly) Turkish policy audience

Despite ups & downs, #Israel & #Turkey have maintained consecutive diplomatic ties since 1949, but the current disconnect between societies is concerning & should be transformed (even if tensions between the two leaders don't go away). Discussed this at an IstanPol Institute event.

📌 During IstanPol Institute 17th edition of the Foreign Policy Talks, Nimrod Goren and Nilgün ARISAN reflected on how the regional escalation is affecting 🇹🇷's ties with 🇮🇱 and the🇪🇺. Check out our speakers' insights! ⬇️
