I’ve a lot of time for FUSIC, and looking to support trainees across various modules, but can we please have access to the training requirements BEFORE trainees have to pay a fee. How will they know if it’s achievable otherwise?

Really proud of my colleague Bex P-S - the first critical care echo physiologist in Wales - for winning this Intensive Care Society 💙 award. She’s utterly transformed our ability to care for critically ill patients. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board @UHWCriticalCare

I love when patients, or their relatives, let us know how they get on after they leave Intensive Care. Seeing news like this is so so rewarding. Thank you Kate for sharing, and congratulations on your wedding!

We still have some spaces on this BSE Level 1 course in Cardiff. It’s been approved for 3 BSEcho points, so do get in touch and get your place secured.

I'm delighted to be contributing to the course again this year. The speaker line up is full of BSE guideline writers and ex-presidents, and the course always gets exceptional feedback. Really worthwhile for those wanting to progress to advanced echo knowledge.

We still have a couple of spaces on our BSE Level 1 course on the 19th March. This is aimed at a level just above FUSIC Heart with basic views with colour across the valves. It's a BSE endorsed course, and is accredited for 3 BSE points.

My friend and colleague Dr Matt Morgan has written a book I think everyone would love. It’s about how understanding animals can help human medicine. It has just been released and so is just 99p for today only. It’s a great read!

We’re seeing more families decline to donate their loved one’s organs when they die. The number of people waiting for a transplant continues to grow. Whatever your decision, please register it on the Organ Donor website AND tell your loved ones. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

A great day heading up Pen Y Fan as part of #OrganDonationWeek It was humbling to meet Jenna, whose child received a heart transplant 3 years ago, and to meet Chris, who walked with us 18 months after receiving a heart transplant himself 💕

The fantastic Ynysowen Male Voice Choir rewarding those who joined the Pen Y Fan walk for NHS Organ Donation💗🫀🫁 #OrganDonationWeek Classic Welsh weather for it too (full sun 20 minutes previously). If you haven’t yet registered your organ donation decision, please do 🙏

Still much work to do to expand access to critical care echo for patients in shock, when more than 50% of echos are leading to a change in management…
