So excited to see the first article of PhD study comes out! In this study, we highlighted the global importance of invertebrates, such as termites, in driving forest litter decomposition and invertebrates particularly show greater contribution in tropical and subtropical forests!

# Liana ecology: what next? Not only afterlife. We had the privilege of convening last year with experts from different fields to discuss the future of liana ecology. To know more about what was discussed please refer to this article nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/np…

I love this! I miss the feeling of bird feathers in my hand and the pain of beak bites on my fingers 🪶. Busy professional and personal lives, the publish or perish culture, and new funding priorities have drifted us away from the nature that inspires us💚 nature.com/articles/d4158…

The end of an amazing week in Kigali🇷🇼, with my favorite community of Tropical Biologists celebrating the ATBC's 60th Anniversary and discussing how we can broaden the voices of tropical biology and conservation & establish global partnerships to build a more resilient planet.

Ecology would be richer if researchers were able to say “I wasn’t expecting that!” when a study has unexpected outcomes Rather than the post hoc hypothesis setting which is obvious - yet not admitted - in some papers So much of ecology remains exploratory - let’s embrace that
