Today, I joined the Health Committee chaired by H.E Muthomi Njuki to address critical bottlenecks in County health service delivery. Counties owe KEMSA KES 3.8B, while the defunct NHIF (now SHA) owes Counties KES 9.8B—delays that strain healthcare access.

We urge SHA to expedite settlement of dues to enable counties to clear KEMSA obligations and restore a functional supply chain.

Together with Governors Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo, EGH, Mutula KilonzoJR CBS and sector stakeholders, we reaffirm our commitment to building efficient, people-centred healthcare systems across all 47 counties.

It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we mourn the passing of Ambassador Boaz Mbaya, a distinguished public servant and diplomat whose dedication to Kenya's national interests was unparalleled. May his soul RIP, and may his memory inspire generations to come.
