Go give our new preprint a read! Single cell sequencing of the spider embryo across various stages, offering lots of new insights into spider development. Super proud to have been able to be part of this amazing project

New tenants arrived safely! Thanks so much @McGregorLab and Grace Blakeley! It was challenging dissecting venom glands from baby spiders but I’ve learnt a lot! Stay tuned for #spider #venom #evodevo EUVEN COST Action!

Come join our lab! An amazing opportunity to understand the genetics that underpin phenotypic divergence in a rapidly evolving structure.

Our culture of Pardosa is beginning! 🕷️ This mother wolf spider has really put in some work, she has carried this cocoon for several weeks and will now carry her spiderlings on her back until they are ready to disperse! Is it weird that I am proud of her?! 🕷️

I am very excited that my first post-doc paper is on BioRxiv! I annotated a whole bunch of spider homeobox genes and clusters, and found interesting patterns of evolution among duplicates. Read here: biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…
