New study with @VUHealthPol PhD student Nathaniel Tran, PhD 🏳️🌈 (they/he)!! Nathaniel is also on the job market and is a thoughtful health policy researcher and passionate educator! #HealthEquity

Thanks Health Affairs for highlighting our study! Lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults on high-deductible health plans had more financial barriers to care than straight peers in HDHP plans, and more barriers than LGB peers in non-HDHP private plans.

🚨JOB ALERT🚨 Job market candidates, I'm happy to say that WE ARE HIRING in the econ department at Trinity University!!! We have two open tenure lines, one for macro and one that's *nominally* for international/trade, but is open to other fields. Links at the end of the thread... 1/6

🎉A huge congratulations to my colleague Rene Crespin for this honor... very deserving. His work is fantastic. Check it out the award-winning research here: renecrespin.com

Estimates from a discrete-choice experiment predict that the Food and Drug Administration’s proposal to prohibit menthol cigarettes could lead to a substantial illegal market for menthols, from Kenkel, alan mathios, Grace N. Phillips, Suryanarayana, Wang and Zeng nber.org/papers/w32148

Fantastic job opportunity for a PhD candidate! I could not have asked for a better training environment than the Vanderbilt LGBTQ+ Policy Lab. Reach out if you have any questions about joining as a trainee!
