I declined an invite to give a TEDx talk. I explained that the most effective way to spread my ‘message’ is for TED to post a correction to the video ‘How trees talk to each other’. 1/2

The correction wld state that the claims in the video have been challenged by scientists in the field. This update could do more for science and people’s understanding of this topic than I ever could with words on a stage. 2/2

This is rich - one of the primary reasons scientists don't have a lot of time to think is that @nature and its ilk have promoted a culture where the primary goal of science is to produce bloated Nature papers that require lots of time and money, but little thought, to produce.
