I'm really excited about our #Marsden funded project investigating the consequences of #biodiversity on ecosystem processes across the stream-riparian interface. We'll be advertising for two PhD positions working closely together - further details to be announced shortly

I am looking for 2 PhD candidates to join my group at The University of Waikato 🎓 next year to investigate #biodiversity and ecosystem processes across stream-riparian boundaries. Both projects will focus on #foodwebs and ecosystem functioning in forested streams. Please RT! tinyurl.com/4pf76n8u

Our new paper is online at Environmental DNA. We use national stream macroinvertebrate datasets collected using benthic sampling and #eDNA to compare how well each quantifies stream ecosystem health. eDNA works well with the right approach and/or index onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…

Horrific to see the humanities and social sciences panels being disbanded. A dark day for many and a remarkably short sighted decision. Impact should not be measured just from core science beehive.govt.nz/release/marsde…
