👀 Look up Grantham, there’s new banners promoting the towns High Street Heritage Action Zone. A terrific #TeamSK initiative thanks to Historic England and South Kesteven District Council SKDC. Big shout-out to GranthamCivicSociety who kindly provided historic imagery of the town centre from their archives.

From 1860 - It is no longer a matter of doubt but an acknowledged fact that the best and cheapest teas are to be had at Scarborough’s noted establishment 10 Vine st. Those who have not yet tried his celebrated tea would find it greatly to their advantage to obtain it once a week.

The Chantry House was a substantial medieval stone house on Watergate. It dated from 1470 and may have belonged to the guild of Corpus Christi. It was situated next door to the Playhouse and, when demolished in 1839, the bay window rebuilt on the front of a house in Belton.
