Starting Sunday, May 5th, General Grant National Memorial will switch to summer season operating hours, open Wednesday - Sunday from 10am to 5pm. At this time, the visitor center will still have a one-hour closure from 12 - 1pm.

Memorial Day is a time of remembrance for those who lost their lives while serving in the US military. The mausoleum not only honors General Grant, but the other Union Army soldiers who sacrificed their lives to preserve the union during the Civil War.

Starting today, the General Grant National Memorial visitor center is shifting its daily one-hour closure back to 12 - 1pm. The mausoleum stays open during this time.

Starting Monday, May 26th (Memorial Day), General Grant National Memorial will switch to its summer operating hours. The park will be open Wednesday - Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the visitor center will still have its one-hour closure from 12:30 - 1 p.m.
