We officially welcomed the Class of 2029 to the STEM Academy! 100 bright new students from across the city joined us to kick off their journey in engineering, programming, & global entrepreneurship. Current students proudly showed families around Grassfield High & the Academy.

We have received recognition from Project Lead The Way as a 2024-2025 Distinguished School! This recognizes our efforts to provide transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW Engineering Programs.

This morning, our Leadership & Entrepreneurship Education class had the opportunity to attend the Chesapeake Economic Development Advisory Committee meeting. The panel discussion on capital conversion and policy priorities for Hampton Roads was enlightening and inspiring.

What an incREDible experience Grassfield TSA had at the TSA National Conference & Competition in Nashville! From architectural design to video making, every aspect of STEM was represented! Our advisor, Paul Emler, was recognized! What a way to start the summer!

We brought the STEM Spark to STEMKAMP! Proud to show the campers and their families all the opportunities at the Governor’s STEM Academy.

Today was STEM Surge! Our newest Grassfield Grizzlies met their classmates, built connections, & dove into what makes our Academy special: teamwork, collaboration, critical & creative thinking & SNACKS! Here’s to four incredible years of innovation, friendship, & Grizzly Pride!

Our future engineers took over the EDAC meeting to dive into workforce development in Chesapeake & Hampton Roads! They totally understood the assignment: networking, participating, & soaking up all the knowledge like pros. Thank you to all the presenters & welcoming us!
