The idea that there's "no path forward" for a ban on the death penalty -- in a Legislature controlled by Democrats with a Democratic governor -- is probably the lamest thing uttered during the entire 2021 session thus far.

Lots more colorful calls in opposition to the decision not to give the bill a hearing with one constituent, Erika Minaberry, likening the move to "the best game of Secret Hitler ever, because I really can't tell which one of you is fascist and which one isn't."
