Climate deniers may feel untouchable, but storms, floods, and heatwaves don’t discriminate. Let’s face the truth and act to protect our planet. 🌎 #ClimateReality

Never forget: this is not Trump. This is the Republican Party. They called for this in Project 2025. The right is built on climate denial, and they will happily destroy American science before they will accept the end of the fossil-energy economy. science.org/content/articl…

Global temperature over the past two years have been very much on the high end of the range of future warming expected in a current policy-type scenario (SSP2-4.5) in the most recent IPCC report (which, itself, expects some near-term acceleration):

One thing tertiary treatment cannot remove is PFAS. Removing forever chemicals from drinking water is enormously difficult & costly which is why water suppliers in Switzerland are calling for a ban on PFAS, arguing some pollution needs to be addressed at source.

This is serious. It’s grossly unfair for the US and China to continue to champion fossil fuels use at the expense of people the world over - people who have done little to cause climate change.

If we switched to #renewableenergy, the number of ships crossing the ocean would fall by 40% because they're just carrying coal & oil & gas!! buff.ly/dpTrSpO We have the solutions. Implement them. #ActOnClimate #ClimateAction #climate #energy #GreenNewDeal

Since the first Earth Day, the world has produced 3 times as much CO2 from the burning of fossil fuels than it had in its entire industrial history up to that point.

2025 had the second warmest first quarter (Jan-Mar) on record, just a hair behind last year (2024). This is remarkable since 2024 was boosted by a strong El Nino event, while 2025 started off in weak La Nina conditions.
