St John's tower scaffold in place and stone repairs underway. With support from the Towns Deal Fund.

Repairs to the fragile gable wall at St John's have been completed by master mason John Briggs. Funding is now in place for full restoration of the building with support from Great Yarmouth Towns Deal Fund.

Great Yarmouth PT Faye W Davies The @ZaksNorwich bar will serve local beers from Lacons Brewery and the restaurant food cooked in view of the customers. Both will have an art deco aesthetic which has been developed through researching the historic archives and input from conservation paint consultants.

Over the next year the restoration of St John's will be used to provide training in stone masonry, flint work, joinery, stained glass and decorated finishes conservation. Full details on our website soon. Supported by GY Town Deal.

Since 2013 GYPT has worked with 600 volunteers and delivered 80,000 training hours in traditional skills. We hope the restoration of St John's will help to increase craft skills and support young people in the region. Historic England English Heritage

Repair works continue at St John's Church. In the coming months we will be running training workshops in stone masonry, stained glass, flint work and joinery. Details soon.
