Pound for pound the College World Series is up there for the most exciting yearly event in sports. It over delivers every year.

BREAKING: Murray State Baseball is signing surging head coach Dan Skirka to a new deal that is expected to be four years in length after he was a finalist for the Duke head coaching job. He’s expected to be the highest paid coach in the #MVC. Well deserved.

Story by Mark Grace.... Rick Sutcliffe gave up back-to-back home run`s in a game in Cincinnati. And in Cincinnati, they shoot off fireworks after a Red hits a home run. Rick Sutcliffe was pretty intense on the day he pitched. So Eric Davis takes him deep, and Paul O'Neill takes

NOT A CINDERELLA STORY. Coastal is playing for its second championship in 10 years this weekend, which may come to a surprise to many. How did they get to this place that very few Mid-Majors in baseball can get to? They invested Spring-Brooks Stadium is the premier

And now first-base coach Matt Schilling has been ejected ... and it looked like he also got an additional suspension for arguing too long. This is a tough scene. Umpires completely making this thing all about themselves in the first inning. Gross.

After this game, the umpiring crew will be escorted off the field and never have to give any sort of explanation for running two coaches in the first inning of the CWS Finals. Meanwhile, Coastal’s head guy and top assistant are done for the remainder of the series. Brutal.

Jacob Rudner (@jacobrudner) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Ejecting an unruly coach is a part of an umpire's duties and I don't think anyone is arguing that. But for Angel Campos to choose today, a national title elimination game, to have tissue-paper thin skin, is nothing short of pathetic.

Angel Campos should never officiate an NCAA baseball game again. That ejection was all ego, which has to be eliminated from college sports. This is a National Championship game for crying out loud. People aren’t here to see the officials. Shame on this crew. #NCAA #MCWS

“You missed three pitches” does not qualify as one of those combinations. If this is all it took for Kevin Schnall to get ejected, that is absurd.

Aaron Fitt (@aaronfitt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Yes, and Schnall did call out that "they're probably going to change" what he was told was the original reason for the suspension. Really a terrible look for this umpire crew. They need to be held accountable.

This guy is always so negative. Ronald Acuña Jr. signed and took photographs with kids literally moments before he went up for the 1st pitch of the game. Yet you want to complain about how he rounds the bases? Growing the game and having fun doing it. Stop being so miserable.
